Zachary Frazier

I have been a Christian my entire life, but I found my way to the Episcopal Church only recently, being confirmed in March of 2023. Since then I have found myself serving on the Vestry as well as being the unofficial IT Administrator and support person for the church.

My spiritual journey began as a child in a Southern Baptist church. I was baptized around the age of seven. My faith was a significant part of my life growing up, and following Jesus led me to study religion at East Texas Baptist University where my faith was pushed to evolve.

I spent over a decade as a part-time staff member at a small church focusing on training and recruiting Bible Study teachers, facilitating technology for the church, and working with young adults. I also worked part time writing research briefings for ministers at larger churches. Over time, my faith changed to a shape that no longer fit the denomination I was raised in. When my time working at that church ended, I moved on with my journey.

I spent about a year at a UCC church in East Texas before I moved to San Antonio and spent several years out of regular church attendance. I returned to looking for a church home about a year and a half ago and found St. Andrews after several months of exploring local churches.

Professionally I have worked mostly in customer service and information technology. I am currently working as a business analyst in the IT platforms division for a packaging company. I enjoy reading, writing, and the occasional video game session.

On a more adventurous weekend, you can find me hitting the town or setting out on a trail. I live independently, and also value spending time with the many important people in my life. You will usually see me at Saint Andrew’s with my girlfriend and her family. My hope is that St. Andrew’s will continue to be a place open to people who are often unwelcome in broader society or other churches, and that we will find a sustainable way to welcome people into the way of Jesus.
