Kort E. Jackson

I am a thirty-something community college instructor that rejoined the Episcopal Church in February of 2019 by way of St. Andrew’s. Originally baptized at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on Christmas Eve 2000, I spent a long time not attending church (and this is a fairly common theme amongst latter Gen X, Millennials and Gen Z).

After a few years attending a non-denominational church from 2013-17, I eventually found my home here at St. Andrew’s. I’ve been involved in quite a few ministries and events here, and still participate in game nights (sometimes) and LEM ministry.

I previously served on the Vestry from January 2020 to January 2023 and as Clerk from 2021 onwards (and continued serving as Clerk in 2023 as a permanent attendee after my turn on Vestry).

I share in the sentiments that St. Andrew’s offers the ability to practice faith in a radically (in the sense of meaning “from the roots”) accepting manner, and such a treasure is to be cherished, sustained and grown to be available for future generations.
