The role of the Altar Guild is to prepare the church for services. It might be communion, a baptism, a wedding, or a funeral. We clean the linen, polish the metal utensils, fill the candles, and change the hangings according to the season. We are there to assist the priest as needed.
When we prepare for services, we are setting the Lord’s table where all are welcome. While the Altar Guild usually works behind the scenes, our ministry serves the whole congretation by transforming an ordinary space into a transcendant space.
