I am married to my wonderful husband, Maverick. We have one daughter, Eleanor. I am a teacher, currently teaching first grade, in SAISD. I am a cradle Episcopalian, baptized in the Episcopal church at 3 weeks old. I grew up attending church at St. Andrew’s and was an active part of our church youth group. During this time I attended both summer and winter camp at Camp Capers, eventually going on to become a counselor.
When I graduated high school, I moved to Missouri to attend college and immediately began volunteering with their diocesan youth program. I was a counselor at summer camps, a chaperone at events and attended the diocesan council.
This eventually led me to become the youth leader at my church, St. James Episcopal church in Springfield, Missouri. After three years of working as the youth leader, I graduated from college and moved back home to San Antonio. It only felt right to come back to my home congregation and begin attending church at St. Andrew’s again. I have always loved being able to serve in my church, my job and my community, so I am excited for the opportunity to now serve on vestry.
